Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Covenant Day

There's no place like home for Charlotte Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Covenant Day Lions on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Lions on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Charlotte Christian never let Covenant Day on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-18.

Holden Gore went supernova, getting 22 digs and eight assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in August.

Charlotte Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Covenant Day only served seven.

Charlotte Christian's record is now 12-8. As for Covenant Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Charlotte Christian and Covenant Day will both be playing Charlotte Country Day School the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Buccaneers at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Lions will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
