Houston Posts Huge Game in 58-48 Win

Evangel Christian Academy picked up their fifth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Peyton Houston. Houston was unstoppable, throwing for 391 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 83 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. He has become a key player for Evangel Christian Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 300 passing yards, but 3-4 otherwise.

Captain Shreve had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Houston it was a similar story. Back in October (the last time Houston saw the Gators), he threw for 817 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns.

Cardarrian Devers Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Captain Shreve was sadly handed a loss on Thursday, but Cardarrian Devers did his best to prevent it. Devers was excellent, picking up 178 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (102.1). He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 57 yards.

Devers must have Evangel Christian Academy's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October (the last time Devers saw the Eagles), he picked up 190 receiving yards and a touchdown.
