After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five matches, Sweet Springs finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Crest Ridge Cougars, falling 6-0. The Greyhounds' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Sweet Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Crest Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Sweet Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crest Ridge, they will face off against Wellington-Napoleon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.54 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
