Basketball Recap: Umpire Comes Up Short

Umpire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Nevada Blue Jays 83-24. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Blue Jays are ranked 72nd).

Umpire's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Nevada, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Umpire will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kirby at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Nevada, they will face off against Mount Ida at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
