Sussex Tech and Laurel are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Ravens will head out to face off against the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Sussex Tech and Caesar Rodney meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Ravens put the hurt on the Riders with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Ravens, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Woodbridge. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

Sussex Tech's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5. As for Laurel, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Sussex Tech came up short against Laurel in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Can the Ravens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
