Baseball Recap: Arleta Find Success

It's playoff time, and Arleta had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the East Valley Falcons by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Robert Howze, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Melendez, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Arleta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Arleta is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for East Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Coming up, Arleta will square off against Marquez at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
