Football Recap: Winslow Township Extends Winning Streak to Nine + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Winslow Township had no trouble coming through when it counted. They really took it to the Millville Thunderbolts for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by 35 points or more so far this season.

Jalen Parker produced another solid effort throwing for 228 yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in one TD on the ground. He has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Winslow Township also got a significant boost from Nakeem Powell, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 124 yards.

Winslow Township didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Benjamin Carter Jr and Karon Ali. Carter Jr got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win (which was Winslow Township's ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.2 points on average over those games. As for Millville, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Winslow Township and Millville are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Eagles will square off against Brick Memorial at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Parker and Jason Lajara. As for Millville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vineland at 10:30 a.m. on the 27th.
