Baseball Game Preview: Stafford Indians vs. Colonial Forge Eagles

Stafford is 1-9 against Colonial Forge since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Indians will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Stafford is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Mountain View on Wednesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Colonial Forge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over North Stafford on Wednesday.

Colonial Forge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Stafford, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Stafford couldn't quite get it done against Colonial Forge when the teams last played on April 2nd as they fell 5-2. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
