Basketball Game Preview: Eden Prairie Eagles vs. Eastview Lightning

The Eden Prairie Eagles will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Eastview Lightning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Eden Prairie took on Robbinsdale Armstrong on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for Eden Prairie in an 83-67 victory over Robbinsdale Armstrong.

Meanwhile, Eastview scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to Rosemount 83-79. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastview now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Eden Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Eden Prairie beat Eastview 70-61 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eden Prairie since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
