Dock Mennonite entered their tilt with Springfield Township on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Spartans.

James Steinmetz looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Logan Sell and Brayden Kratz did most of the damage at the plate: Sell scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Kratz went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those hits were Sell's first of the season.

Dock Mennonite was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Dock Mennonite's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Springfield Township, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dock Mennonite will welcome Jenkintown at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers are facing the Drakes at the right time seeing as the Drakes are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Springfield Township, they will be playing at home against Lower Moreland at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
