Football Game Preview: Glenn Falcons vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings

The Glenn Falcons will challenge the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Glenn has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Tippecanoe Valley will arrive with three straight wins.

Glenn's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against LaVille on Friday. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Lancers.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 38-7 victory over Western. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Owen Omondi and Wes Parker. Omondi rushed for 112 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries while Parker rushed for 114 yards and two scores. Those 112 rushing yards gave Omondi a new career-high.

Tippecanoe Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 218 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Tippecanoe Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hudson Shepherd and Omondi. Tippecanoe Valley got some further help from Grady Moriarty: he made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Tippecanoe Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Glenn, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Glenn and Tippecanoe Valley were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but Glenn came up empty-handed after a 22-21 defeat. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Parker, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Now that the Falcons know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
