Basketball Game Preview: Cissna Park Timberwolves vs. Iroquois West Raiders

The Cissna Park Timberwolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Iroquois West Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cissna Park has five straight wins, Iroquois West has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Monday, everything went Cissna Park's way against Watseka/Milford as Cissna Park made off with a 61-40 victory. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Iroquois West came up short against Georgetown-Ridge Farm on Tuesday and fell 38-28.

Iroquois West's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Cissna Park, their win bumped their record up to 24-5.

Everything came up roses for Cissna Park against Iroquois West in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cissna Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
