Softball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the D'Iberville Warriors, falling 14-5. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Madison Weems - 2025 and Lakeitha Sampson - 2025 did some serious damage despite the final result: Weems - 2025 went a perfect2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Sampson - 2025 scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Devin Bourgeois - 2025 was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Coming up, Bay will face off against Biloxi at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for D'Iberville, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against West Harrison on the 13th.
