            Volleyball Recap: Perryville Pirates vs. Festus Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Perryville lost against Festus back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Pirates lost  3-0 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Pirates have suffered  since September 23rd.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15,  25-20.
 Lydia Schlimpert paced Perryville's offense, picking up nine kills. Schlimpert got some help from  Allyson Burns and her 17 assists. Finally,  Schlimpert was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
 Festus got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Lauren Whitehead out in front who  had 20 assists and four  digs. Whitehead is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Layla Pendergrass, who  had 12  digs and two  assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Perryville and  nudges their season record down to 11-17-2. As for Festus, they pushed their record up to 20-10-2 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home.
As of now, neither Perryville nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
