Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lilly Walsh and Zoey Bucio Lead Pius XI Catholic to Victory

Pius XI Catholic not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Brown Deer Falcons 3-0. The Popes haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-13.

Pius XI Catholic was led to victory by Zoey Bucio and Lilly Walsh. Bucio had 19 digs and two aces, while Walsh had four digs, three aces, and one block. The dominant performance also gave Walsh a new career-high in assists (24).

They weren't the only good servers: Pius XI Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are 10-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Pius XI Catholic back to even at 18-18. As for Brown Deer, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-23.

As of now, neither Pius XI Catholic nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
