Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Academy Eagles vs. Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers

The Heritage Academy Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Heritage Academy sidestepped Carroll Christian for a 6-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Caleb Wise made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wise was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Wise wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Titus Britner, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Cumberland Valley Christian, as they earned their first away win of the season. They skirted past Carroll Christian 6-5. That's two games straight that the Blazers have won by just one run.

Cumberland Valley Christian picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Heritage Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Heritage Academy took their victory against Cumberland Valley Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Blazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
