Baseball Game Preview: Citronelle Wildcats vs. Mobile Christian Leopards

For the second straight game, Citronelle will face off against Mobile Christian. The Wildcats will face off against the Leopards at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Citronelle has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with eight straight defeats, while Mobile Christian will come in with three straight wins.

Citronelle is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Mobile Christian on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to the Leopards.

For Mobile Christian's part, Ethan McLarty and Maddox McKinion dominated on the mound. McLarty tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while McKinion pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Mobile Christian is 3-1 when McLarty allows one or fewer hits, but 5-17 otherwise.

At the plate, Brady Keller was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Christian Farni also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mobile Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Citronelle, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.
