Volleyball Recap: Stansbury Gets the Win

Stansbury was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Carbon Dinos. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Stallions also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Stansbury had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 15-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-11.

The win got Stansbury back to even at 2-2. As for Carbon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stansbury will challenge Sky View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Stallions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Carbon, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Uintah at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
