After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland, Salem was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Mountain View Yellowjackets with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Owen Guffey made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

In other batting news, Salem got a massive performance out of Blake Ingram, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while going 4-for-4. Caleb Leisenring was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-3.

Salem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Salem's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Salem will face off against Heber Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they will challenge Flippin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
