Soccer Recap: South Houston Comes Up Short

South Houston and Brazoswood squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Houston had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Buccaneers who were credited with the victory. The Brazoswood Buccaneers got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the South Houston Trojans' four. South Houston were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brazoswood apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

The defeat snapped South Houston's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-5-3 record. As for Brazoswood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 21-2-3 record this season.

South Houston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brazoswood, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Strake Jesuit on the 28th.
