Football Game Preview: Garden Valley Wolverines vs. Cascade Ramblers + How To Watch

The Garden Valley Wolverines will take on the Cascade Ramblers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Garden Valley and four for Cascade.

Garden Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Salmon River, who was ranked 17th at the time (Garden Valley was ranked 19th). The Wolverines fell just short of the Savages by a score of 52-50 on Friday. The close matchup was extra heartbreaking for the Wolverines, who almost overcame a 20 point deficit.

Garden Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Gavan Pearce led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Rhett Fackrell has been hot, having also posted nine or more total tackles the last five times he's played. Tyler Rowland got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Cascade's offense. They took a blow against Tri-Valley on Friday, falling 74-0.

Garden Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Garden Valley took their win against Cascade when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 36-14 score. In that game, the Wolverines amassed a halftime lead of 30-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
