Basketball Game Preview: Tuba City Warriors vs. Window Rock Fighting Scouts

The Tuba City Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Window Rock Fighting Scouts at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuba City is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Monument Valley on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Tuba City came up short against Monument Valley, falling 67-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Window Rock). They blew past Ganado 74-54 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Tuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Window Rock, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15.

Tuba City didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Window Rock when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 74-68 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Window Rock's Jaylen Brown, who went 6 of 15 en route to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Tuba City still be able to contain Brown? There's only one way to find out.
