Niagara proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Coleman Cougars 3-2. The Badgers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Niagara had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 21-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15-13.

Sydney Swanson paced Niagara's offense, picking up nine kills. Swanson got some help from Elesia Sweig and her 19 assists. Grace Payette controlled things from the service line, finishing with 11 aces.

Niagara's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Coleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Coincidentally, Niagara and Coleman will both be playing Saint Thomas Aquinas the next time they take the court. The Badgers will host the Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
