Baseball Game Preview: Baldwin Indians vs. Suwannee Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Baldwin will face off against Suwannee. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Baldwin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Suwannee.

Maxwell Gallagher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chase Staley and Turner Farah did most of the damage at the plate: Staley went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Farah went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits Farah has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaeson Johns, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Baldwin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Suwannee only posted a batting average of .192.

The loss snapped Suwannee's winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 20-7 record. As for Baldwin, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
