The Oak Harbor Rockets will head out to square off against the Genoa Area Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oak Harbor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Genoa Area will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Oak Harbor extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Rockets never let Fostoria get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Schultz, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Ethan Branum also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Oak Harbor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Genoa Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Start on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Comets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Oak Harbor's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Genoa Area, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5.

Oak Harbor was able to grind out a solid victory over Genoa Area when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 8-3. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
