Basketball Recap: Roger Bacon Takes a Loss

Roger Bacon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 63-55 to the Purcell Marian Cavaliers. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Roger Bacon's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Purcell Marian, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Roger Bacon will venture away from home to challenge La Salle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Purcell Marian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Archbishop McNicholas at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Archbishop McNicholas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
