Basketball Recap: Norwich Piles Up the Points Against Udall

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norwich). They breezed by the Udall Eagles to the tune of 66-36 on Tuesday. Norwich has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Udall had strong showings from Jordan Hornecker, who posted 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals, and Isaac Johnson, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Norwich's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Udall, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwich will welcome South Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Udall and Pretty Prairie will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
