Burroughs had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Castaic Coyotes with a 69-63 victory on Saturday. With that win, the Bears brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Burroughs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nico Meza, who posted 11 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Baker, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points.

Burroughs' record now sits at 5-11. As for Castaic, they moved to 9-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burroughs will welcome Crescenta Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Crescenta Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Burroughs likes a good challenge. As for Castaic, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hart at 6:30 p.m.
