Providence Christian Academy wins going away against Middle Tennessee Christian

Recap: Providence Christian Academy LIONS vs. Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars

The Providence Christian Academy LIONS waltzed into their match Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 63-47 win over Middle Tennessee Christian. Given Providence Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Middle Tennessee Christian is ranked 124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Middle Tennessee Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Madison Graham, who scored 16 points. The contest was Graham's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anna clay Shirley, who scored 16 points.

Providence Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing University School of Nashville the next time they take the court. Providence Christian Academy will host University School of Nashville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Middle Tennessee Christian will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
