Baseball Game Preview: Stark Generals vs. Kingswood Knights

The Stark Generals will take on the Kingswood Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Stark 3.2, Kingswood 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

While Stark's win against Hanover wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Generals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Bears on Monday. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Kingswood waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sachems a 14-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Stark's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Kingswood, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Stark skirted past Kingswood 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Generals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
