Softball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

After flying high against Corpus Christi Moody last Friday, Miller came back down to earth. The Buccaneers came up short against the Carroll Tigers on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Miller saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazelle Armadillo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Miller's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Carroll, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller will host Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Carroll, they will welcome Ray at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
