Football Recap: Father Tolton's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Father Tolton came up short against the Lift for Life Academy Hawks on Friday and fell 28-21.

Lift for Life Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Phoenix Isaiah led the charge by throwing for 371 yards and four TDs. Those 371 passing yards gave Isaiah a new career-high. Lift for Life Academy's leading receiver Ekeilan Henderson was Isaiah's top target yet again, picking up 196 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Father Tolton's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Lift for Life Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Father Tolton will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Father Tolton will be up against KIPP Legacy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
