Softball Game Preview: Sipsey Valley Bears vs. West Blocton Tigers

The Sipsey Valley Bears will head out on the road to take on the West Blocton Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sipsey Valley has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while West Blocton will come in with three straight victories.

Last Saturday, Sipsey Valley came up short against Cordova and fell 8-5.

Jules Lindsey was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, West Blocton got the win against Homewood on Monday by a conclusive 12-1. Considering the Tigers have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

West Blocton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.4 runs. As for Sipsey Valley, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Sipsey Valley suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to West Blocton in their previous meeting back in February. Can Sipsey Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
