Baseball Game Preview: Lamar Consolidated Mustangs vs. Sealy Tigers

The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs will challenge the Sealy Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Lamar Consolidated and three for Sealy.

Lamar Consolidated's tournament run continued when they took on Brazosport on Friday. Lamar Consolidated fell just short of Brazosport by a score of 8-7.

Jordan Siegel stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Sam Johnson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Sealy fell victim to East Bernard and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brahmas. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly four runs.

Sealy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lamar Consolidated, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
