Softball Recap: West Mifflin Victorious

West Mifflin won the last time they faced Uniontown and things went their way on Friday too. The Titans walked away with a 6-2 win over the Red Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

RYLIE DOBNAK spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, West Mifflin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AUBREY JASKULSKI, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That run was JASKULSKI's first of the season. Another was ABBY JAKUBOVIC, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

West Mifflin now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Uniontown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

West Mifflin will host East Allegheny at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Uniontown, they will head out to face off against Ringgold at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
