Soccer Game Preview: Quartz Hill vs. Highland

The Quartz Hill Royals will take on the Highland Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Quartz Hill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Quartz Hill managed to keep up with Littlerock until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Quartz Hill came up short against Littlerock, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 682nd, while the Lobos are ranked 98th).

Quartz Hill's goal came courtesy of Logan Forshee, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Highland was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to Palmdale.

Highland's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Quartz Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-2.
