Basketball Recap: Oconto Falls Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last nine games, Oconto Falls finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They took a blow against the Little Chute Mustangs, falling 61-24. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Oconto Falls saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jj Pytleski went 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points and five rebounds. Pytleski is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Evan Yuma, who posted four points and six boards.

With the loss, Oconto Falls broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Little Chute, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Oconto Falls nor Little Chute have any future games scheduled.
