Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Regis Groff Fusion
The Vista PEAK Prep Bison stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Regis Groff for the full four quarters, racking up a 83-37 victory on the road. With Vista PEAK Prep ahead 49-21 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vista PEAK Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alante Monroe-Elazier, who scored 17 points along with two steals. James Brown III was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Regis Groff's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miguel Morales, who scored four points.
Vista PEAK Prep has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Regis Groff, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14.
Vista PEAK Prep will take on Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Vista PEAK Prep likes a good challenge. As for Regis Groff, they will head out on the road to face off against Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
