Volleyball Game Preview: Smyrna Eagles vs. Delmarva Christian Royals + How To Watch

Smyrna is a perfect 4-0 against Delmarva Christian since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will head out to take on the Royals at 6:00 p.m. Smyrna will be strutting in after a victory while Delmarva Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Smyrna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Sussex Central, who was ranked 15th at the time (Smyrna was ranked 16th). The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Golden Knights on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Golden Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Delmarva Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Archmere Academy.

Delmarva Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Smyrna, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything went Smyrna's way against Delmarva Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as Smyrna made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
