Volleyball Recap: Heritage's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Heritage needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight matches and they got it from Kyra Davis. The Panthers came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 2-0 on Friday thanks in part to Davis, who had 12 kills and seven digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more kills the last nine times she's played.

Heritage not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Varsity Opponent between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17.

Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amber Gunter out in front who had ten digs. That's the most digs Gunter has posted over her last three matches. Eva Vuichard was another key player, getting 17 assists and one block.

The win got Heritage back to even at 7-7.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Royal Palm Beach on the 27th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next contest (against Indy F), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
