I Sunrise - Southeast recap November 13, 2013
Liberty added to the longest winning streak in I Sunrise - Southeast this week by beating Silverado, 41-27. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Patriots.
Basic fell to Las Vegas 63-24 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Liberty's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Newman threw for 296 and 3 touchdowns and Drew Hladek had 154 yards receiving. On the ground Ethan Tuilagi chipped in 56 yards. Deseon Mcquaig helped Liberty's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 74 yards.
He was 15-23 with 0 interceptions.
Newman put up the best numbers in passing as Rich Muraco's team topped the Skyhawks. Newman's favorite target this week was Hladek, who caught 5 passes for 154 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Newman of the Patriots is the league leader in passing yards this season with 3,097. He has also thrown 35 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is David Persi. The Foothill star has 57 catches for 1,003 yards.
Liberty led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Silverado. Newman in the win.
