Fleming has gone a perfect 10-0 against Caliche recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Buffaloes at 11:00 a.m. The timing is sure in Fleming's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Caliche has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Fleming is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Merino, who was ranked 13th at the time (Fleming was ranked 18th). The Wildcats came up short against the Rams on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Wildcats seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Fleming was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Caliche and Wray have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Buffaloes skirted past the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buffaloes have posted since October 10th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Caliche who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-12.

Caliche's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Fleming, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-3.

Fleming took their victory against Caliche in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
