Basketball Recap: Seymour Drops Highest Score of Season Against East Union

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seymour). They took down the East Union Eagles 82-63 on Thursday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 62-59 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Seymour has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for East Union, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Seymour will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against H-L-V/Tri-County at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for East Union, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Central Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
