Football Recap: Mortimer Jordan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mortimer Jordan's offense. They came up short against the Hartselle Tigers on Thursday, falling 24-0. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Tigers are ranked 33rd).

Blaze Neely threw for 111 yards on 12 of 20 attempts. Kason Reno was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards. On the ground, Parker Reno rushed for 68 yards.

Hartselle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Morris, who rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one score. Another signal caller making a difference was Carter Lee, who threw for 135 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes.
