Baseball Game Preview: Everett Warriors vs. Fannett Metal

The Everett Warriors will face off against Fannett Metal at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Everett and Bedford had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors fell just short of the Bisons by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bisons: they've now lost three in a row.

Cody Spade was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Tyson Grove also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Fannett Metal waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Forbes Road 15-5. The result was nothing new for Fannett Metal, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Landon Arnold and Jake Coffman did most of the damage at the plate: Arnold went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Coffman went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Coffman has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Tucker Seibert, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Fannett Metal's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Everett, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
