Softball Recap: Stafford Takes a Loss

Stafford's last matchup with Mountain View could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Indians came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-3. The Indians have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Stafford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bayla Franklin, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Stafford now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Stafford will square off against Colonial Forge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will take on Massaponax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
