Football Recap: West Tallahatchie Skates Past Ashland with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charleston, West Tallahatchie was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Ashland Blue Devils to the tune of 54-14. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Choctaws this season.

West Tallahatchie didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Demarrion Boyd and Althavion Hoskins.

West Tallahatchie's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Ashland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, West Tallahatchie will head out on the road to challenge North Panola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Choctaws will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ashland, they will host Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
