Basketball Recap: Wolfson Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Westside came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Wolfson, but Hannah Timmerman wouldn't allow it. The Wolfson Wolfpack secured a 45-40 W over the Westside Wolverines on Monday thanks in part to Timmerman, who posted 31 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Wolfson's points.

Westside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saniyah Perine, who had ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Dawoud, who earned nine points.

Wolfson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Westside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Wolfson will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against KIPP Bold City at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Westside, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-36 loss against Raines on the 17th.
