Henderson extended the longest winning streak in Ches-Mont - National this week by beating Bishop Shanahan, 50-10. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Coatesville moved up to 36 from 72 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Red Raiders climbed the ranks as a result of a 42-0 win over Unionville.
Downingtown East's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kyle Lauletta threw for 207 and four touchdowns and Chris Beals had 98 yards receiving. On the ground Ryley Angeline chipped in 130 yards. Jay Harris helped Downingtown East's passing attack out by catching two balls for 37 yards.
The Cougars' Lauletta and Beals have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Lauletta has thrown for 1408 yards this season, while Beals has 31 catches for 573 yards. Downingtown West's Mitch Meleski leads the league in rushing yards with 439.
A big matchup in Ches-Mont - National this week will be when the Whippets take on Henderson. As it stands, Downingtown West is in third, while Steve Mitten's team is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Michael Milano's team takes on the Warriors. The Whippets have allowed 37 points this season, while Henderson has given up 29. Downingtown West allowed 9 points last week as it defeated East.
Coatesville took down the Indians 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
