Baseball Recap: Anderson County Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

After losing to Halls the last time they met, Anderson County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mavericks put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 13-5 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mavericks, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kris Pelliccio made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Pelliccio was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Anderson County got a big performance out of Trent Strickland, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alex Bond, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
